Almost 4 full years after the #Fukushima nuclear disaster and tsunami and made whole towns uninhabitable forever, we STILL have thousands of refugees suffering in ‘temporary’ housing in Japan.  This is why Step 2 of the Operation SAVE the Earth plan is so vital.  Here’s what we need to do change things, step-by-step:

 STEP 1  EDUCATE & SAFEGUARD
4 more Fukushima kids diagnosed with thyroid cancer (called ‘impossible’ by the bad guys just last year).  You want canaries for your coal mine?  Here they are.

STEP 2  EVACUATE #FUKUSHIMA NOW
Moms and dads in Fukushima City STILL aren’t getting real transparency OR data to make any kind of informed decision for their families.  Instead of support, they get ridiculed for being “nervous” or “eccentric” according to Japanese psychiatrist Yukihiko Kayama.   http://ift.tt/1ElqTFi
STEP 3  CONTROL & CONTAIN
The good news, Daiichi reactor 4’s spent fuel pool is empty – YAY!  The bad news, good luck getting at the pools for 1, 2 and 3 anytime soon.
STEP 4  NUCLEAR POWER IS OVER
The myth of nuclear safety gets skewered by John Downer – Technology Science professor at University of Bristol in this article shared at the Ecologist.

HEY FUKUFIGHTERS!  2014 was the triumphant, sometimes harrowing and action-packed year I expected it to be but next year we’re going to need turn the heat up even more to ensure our brightest future for our kids.  To borrow another WNBA metaphor, Diana Taurasi may be the white mamba but Penny Taylor is the glue that makes championships happen.  All it takes is guts and the unshakable belief that YOUR contributions will wins rings at the end.  From Sister Megan, Michael and Greg to you – if you’re just hearing about Fukushima fallout for the first time today, what YOU create will resonate!  Together, let’s make 2015 one for the history books.
