I met with a NRC official this week about Palo Verde Nuclear Generating System here in AZ.  He said everything was in the ‘green’ for 2014!  Our State and County officials however have an unrealistic view of what the potential dangers may be from the only desert bound nuke system in the world.  There is only a 10 mile radius evac zone being considered, even in ‘worst case’ scenario – our data says different.
