With the media focused on injustice lately (for a change), it looks like they’re skipping over Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s visit to the U.S. entirely – which is a shame because they could’ve asked him about how bad TEPCO is screwing up or maybe talk about the radioactive food his country is shipping out everywhere. Oh well, guess it’s up to us so let’s educate them, step-by-step:
STEP 1 EDUCATE & SAFEGUARD
This past week marked the 29th anniversary of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster. A new disaster is always looming tho as forest fires threaten the plant and release stored radiation thru burning. Understand more about the interconnectedness of nuclear issues like this with the Nuclear Hotseat podcast!
STEP 2 EVACUATE #FUKUSHIMA NOW
Japan is trying really really hard to get other countries to accept their food exports unconditionally. Corruption and concern about radionuclides has Taiwan thinking otherwise
STEP 3 CONTROL & CONTAIN
TEPCO is going ahead with their futile ‘ice wall’ plan this week but what they should be doing is listening to professor Hiroaki Koide from Kyoto University and start building the egg!
STEP 4 NUCLEAR POWER IS OVER
Prime Minister Abe is visiting the U.S. this week to promote Japanese/American imperialism and avoid the topic of #Fukushima altogether apparently. So let’s remind him about the drone that landed on his roof again last week 🙂
